Established in 1986 by Nado Badurina, Badi has evolved under the capable hands of Ivan Badurina, carrying forward the legacy supported by his father's vision. Their journey to culinary excellence took a significant leap seven years ago with the arrival of Chef Aleksandar Grubić, the mastermind behind Badi's refined and innovative cuisine.

The restaurant primarily specializes in seafood delicacies, offering a gastronomic journey through 5 or 7-course tasting menus showcasing raw fish, fresh Kvarner scampi, and locally sourced catches from the waters surrounding Umag and Novigrad. Additionally, here you can indulge in à la carte options featuring classics like sea bass in bread and brudet (Croatian fish stew) with shrimp tails, lobster tail, fish, and pasta. The menu also tantalizes with meaty delights such as truffle-infused steaks, goose liver steak, and beef cheeks. And the tasty desserts such as Ice cream with olive oil and chocolate. So there is something for everyone!

Complementing the culinary prowess is an exceptional wine selection, boasting a range from champagnes to the finest wine labels. The cellar proudly holds the best of Istrian winesDegrassi, Coronica, Matošević, Kozlović, Clai, and Prelac—alongside various offerings from local winemakers and a diverse array of Italian wines.
