Late summer in Zagreb has its own charm – the days are still warm, and the city slowly settles back into its rhythm. Capturing this feeling of returning to routine after a season of adventures is AFTERTASTE, a new urban street festival taking place from September 11 to 21, 2025, transforming Kvaternik Square into the city’s most vibrant spot.

A Celebration of Wine

The festival is designed as a place to relive summer memories while enjoying top-quality wines. Visitors who enjoyed the Wine City event at Franjo Tuđman Square earlier this summer will love the three themed wine bars at Aftertaste. SAFE BET by Vinart will feature some of Croatia’s most popular wines, including Štampar Sauvignon, Cattunar Muškat Ruža, Fakin Malvazija, and Benvenuti Caldierosso. VINSKI TREZOR by Saša Špiranec will bring rare and prestigious wines to the square, but at approachable prices, offering visitors the chance to taste selections like Santa Elisabetta Teran, Ego Pošip, Miloš Stalagmit, and Grgić Plavac. The sparkling side of the program comes from the BUBBLE BAR, which will serve an impressive collection of sparkling wines, champagne, and prosecco, with labels such as Moët & Chandon, Villa Sandi Millesimato, and Canard Duchêne Leonie Brut.

Beer and Cocktails for Every Taste

Beer lovers are also well catered for, with two craft beer bars planned. One will feature Lepi Dečki, a popular Međimurje-based brewery, while the other will offer top Croatian craft beers from 5th Element alongside Erdinger, the renowned German family brewery with more than 130 years of tradition.

Cocktail enthusiasts will not be disappointed either. One of Croatia’s leading bartenders, Filip Lipnik, owner of Zagreb’s Blend Bar and founder of the Art of Bar Academy, will present his signature creations at the ART OF BAR by Filip Lipnik stand. Domagoj Cimerman will prepare an exclusive cocktail list, while Rossi Distillery will showcase Istrian spirits. Martini will also return to charm visitors with its summer hit – the Martini Fiero & Tonic cocktail.

Gourmet Street Food Experience

The festival’s food offering is equally exciting. Local favorite Jellyfish in Space will serve its famous Mrav Burger, while Cheese Bar by President will present a selection of artisanal cheeses. Petrus by Tin Miletić will prepare both traditional and contemporary dishes, from the iconic Poljički Soparnik to sardines grilled over an open fire. Street food fans can also look forward to Spud Bud, known for its creative potato specialties.
