At the Michelin awards ceremony held on July 8, 2025, in the stunning setting of St. John’s Fortress in Šibenik, Zagreb County once again secured its place on the map of Europe’s top culinary destinations.

Korak Restaurant from Jastrebarsko reaffirmed its Michelin star and retained the prestigious Michelin Green Star, awarded to restaurants committed to sustainability and eco-friendly practices in gastronomy. An additional honor was awarded to Vera Korak, who received a special prize for outstanding service quality, further reinforcing the excellence and warmth of this family-run establishment.
Another representative of Zagreb County, Mon Ami Restaurant from Velika Gorica, maintained its Michelin recommendation, confirming its consistent quality and the important role of continental cuisine in Croatia’s national culinary scene.
Ivana Alilović, Director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board, stated:
“The award ceremony in Šibenik, set in a location truly fit for the kings of gastronomy, once again demonstrated the importance of investing in authenticity, sustainability, and high standards in food and wine tourism. We are incredibly proud of the achievements of restaurants Korak and Mon Ami, as well as the special recognition awarded to Vera Korak. These honors show that world-class gastronomy is being created right in the heart of Zagreb County. Continental Croatia has its own identity, its own flavors, and passionate individuals who raise the bar for excellence every single day.”
