Nevera - The Hypercar That Took the World by Storm

Nevera is what Croatians call a sudden and mighty storm in the Mediterranean. The storm rises in seconds and is a true force of nature that races across the open sea - like one of the best all-electric hypercars in the world - created by the Croatian company Rimac Automobili.

The Rimac Nevera is the first all-electric car designed, engineered, and manufactured entirely in Croatia and homologated for the EU and US markets. It's swift and decisive as the storm whose name it carries - going from 0-60 mph in under 2 seconds; it's the fastest accelerating production car in the world.

It is no surprise that a car like this is the latest creation by Mate Rimac and his company Rimac Automobili. Rimac is known worldwide as a technology powerhouse revolutionizing the automotive industry.

From a Garage Project to a Global Automotive Tech Leader

Mate's passion for cars and engineering goes way back. His idea of the electric supercar was born in 2008 when he first built his electric powertrain and converted a BMW E30 into a battery-powered race car. A few years later, he gathered a handful of people and founded Rimac Automobili. Soon after, Concept One was born - the world's first all-electric hypercar that made its global debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, broke many records and received notable awards in the following years.

Guided by Mate's ingenuity and relentless pursuit of performance perfection, in less than a decade, Rimac Automobili caught the eye of several investors and completed several funding rounds. As a result, the team grew to a staggering 1300 employees working on designing, engineering, and producing electric hypercars and high-performance EV components for the global market.

Distinguished names in the industry have also recognized the immense innovative power of Rimac. The brightest example is the Bugatti-Rimac, a new joint company founded in 2021. As the CEO of the joint venture, Mate is paving a new path for the traditional Bugatti brand and steering it into a new future.

The Launch of Nevera - The Next Generation of the All-Electric Supercar

Following Concept One, Nevera represents the next chapter in the company's history and a new generation of hypercars. Initially revealed as the C Two concept car, it underwent a meticulous R&D and testing program. As a result, almost all its key components have been custom-developed and manufactured in-house at Rimac headquarters near Zagreb, Croatia. This year, the car finally reached the production-ready stage. The first-year series is already sold out and is getting ready to be delivered to customers all around the world!

Nevera strikes with both unrivaled performance and exceptional design. With a top speed of 412 km/h, a battery capacity of 120 kWh, and advanced real-time intelligent systems, the car delivers a superb driving experience. Luxury car enthusiasts will also enjoy the sleek design and a broad range of customization options. Next to 36 pre-defined paint colors, customers can choose between an enormous variety of bespoke options, both for the interior and exterior, with Rimac promising to make each of the 150 completed Neveras unique.

The Croatian Car Blazing a New Trail for All-Electric Vehicles

The exceptional attention to detail and dedication to perfection has not only brought Nevera the title of the world's fastest accelerating production car. It has also been named the Best Hypercar by Robb Report, Hypercar of the Year by GQ, and Best Electric Performance Car by Top Gear. What's more, the first proud owner of Nevera is no one else than the 2016 Formula One World Champion and sustainability entrepreneur Nico Rosberg!

As a proudly Croatian-born company, the Rimac Group also took part in the opening ceremony of one of the country's most significant new engineering projects - the Pelješac Bridge. Nevera was the first car to cross the new landmark bridge and officially open it to road traffic.

Mate and his team continue to go beyond what anyone thinks possible, blazing a radical and exciting new path for the automotive realm. Testing the limits and inspiring the next generation of game-changers is at the core of their mission. Discover more of the Rimac story and explore the exciting future of EV technology!
