There’s something magnetic about simplicity when it’s done right. The kind that stops you mid-scroll or mid-stride—not because it’s loud, but because it feels like it’s saying something quietly, directly to you. That’s the pull of the new MINAMI collection. Breezy, grounded, and unapologetically feminine, it’s a masterclass in subtle impact.
Created by Croatian designer Željka Šafran, this summer collection doesn’t chase trends—it sits comfortably in its own rhythm. Inspired by 17th-century floral still lifes, it captures the elegance of natural form and the quiet poetry of thoughtful design. One look, and it’s clear: this isn’t just fashion. It’s a story told in linen and sun-washed color.

The Art Behind the Fabric
The visual soul of the collection draws from the works of Rachel Ruysch, a Dutch painter known for her intricate, light-filled floral compositions. Just like Ruysch painted with intense attention to petals, shadows, and movement, MINAMI approaches its textiles with reverence. The palette is warm and muted—think clay reds, soft beige, and rich, earthy browns—hues that feel like they’ve been pulled from dried blossoms and warm terracotta.
Texture plays a lead role. Natural materials dominate, most notably linen and ramie—the latter a delicate, lustrous fiber made from a plant in the nettle family, prized for its softness and durability. The linen is locally sourced from Croatian producers, and surplus fabrics from the fashion industry are woven into the story, quite literally. The result is not only beautiful, but ethical—a slow-fashion approach that values longevity and low environmental impact.
Tailoring with an Edge
MINAMI’s signature? Structured silhouettes softened by raw edges and quiet details. There’s a balance here: timeless tailoring meets a sense of modern cool. You’ll find a chocolate brown suit featuring an oversized, open-back blazer and tailored shorts—sharp enough for the office, relaxed enough for after-hours. A striking red set plays with proportion and mood, while a floor-grazing brown dress carries you effortlessly from a breezy day to an elegant evening.
Backless vests, wide-cut trousers, untrimmed hems—it’s tailoring with a touch of rebellion. These pieces are designed for women who don’t need to shout to make an entrance; they command attention through their presence, not performance.
Captured with Intention
Shot by emerging photographer Lara Buljubašić, the campaign channels a quiet intimacy that mirrors the collection’s aesthetic. Nikolina Budinski (Talia Model) brings effortless grace to each look, while the natural-toned makeup by Nikolina Zaninović Kokotović and minimal styling by Ivana Pavić allow the pieces to speak for themselves.
