Slavonia – The Ideal Place To Escape From Stress!

The immense plane, the sound of rivers, and extensive oak forests are the decoration of Slavonia - although it seems like a locality from a fairy tale, it is very real! The hectic pace of life often tires us, and it is necessary to seek peace in nature. It is not surprising that many people say that it is nature that cures all ailments, and the Slavonian regions are a real healing oasis. We bring you a list of localities you must visit so that your eyes can see the beauty and your mind can rest from everyday worries!

From Osijek to Kopački Rit by Bike!

When visiting Slavonia, you must visit the city of Osijek! The largest city of this region attracts attention with its centuries-old beauty, the co-cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, which adorns the main square, and the abundance of exciting tourist locations. Since Osijek is located near Kopački Rit, it is a great option to include both localities in your itinerary. Osijek is a city with no shortage of bicycle paths, and in less than 20 kilometers, it is possible to reach the nature park known for its marshy area, which is home to many species of birds and wildlife. The road is simply enchanting - the greenery, the river Drava and the lakes of Kopački Rit will leave you breathless. We advise you to visit the towns of Kopačevo and Bilje and get to know the local customs of that areas.

Papuk Nature Park Is a Habitat of Rich Flora and Fauna

Hardly anyone has heard of mountain Papuk, and it's time to visit it finally! Although lowlands and rivers are what we most associate with this region of Croatia, it would be a mistake not to include this gentle mountain in the plan. Although Papuk offers a handful of activities, we can safely say that everyone will find something for themselves. Educational programs, a school in nature, or a walk along educational trails are ideal options for all lovers of knowledge. Adrenaline parks, geocaching, or bike riding are the best option for adventurous people. You can later relax in the Jankovac mountain lodge, where game dishes and fresh trout stand out from the rich gastronomic offer, which you must try.

Spačva Forest in the Confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers

The Spačva forest is a true beauty and the pride of all people from Slavonia. Apart from Croatia, Spačvanska šuma is one of Europe's largest oak forests. The advantages that this forest offers to man are numerous - in addition to the economic ones, the ecological benefits that we enjoy thanks to the old Slavonian oaks are certainly more significant. A walk through this forest is an absolute sensation, and the peace, tranquility, and beauty you will enjoy cannot be described in words. And in the end, the only thing left is to decide - are you more the type for cycling through the swampy areas of Eastern Slavonia, going to the mountains, or walking along forested roads?
