There are times when you just want to get away from everything, to find refuge in some nice place, which is warm not only because of the weather but also because of the gorgeous details that make the whole place unreal. A house with soul. We found that warm place, an oasis of peace on the Croatian Dalmatian coast – the Nera Etwa stone house.
Your Haven of Peace
Nera Etwa is located in the Neretva valley, where in seclusion, surrounded by olive groves and olive trees that compete with fields of delicious, fragrant tangerines, seductively catches the eyes of everyone nearby. Even though the Nera is about a hundred years old, you won't notice it. On the contrary, her years look so good on her. It is surrounded by an outdoor area of 750 square meters. We are sure you will enjoy sunny days, like Francis from the beginning of the article, drinking a cup of tea, maybe some wine, while observing the beauty in the details. This could be your little corner in the world where peace will find you, which, in these times, we all desperately need. During renovations of this beautiful estate, all the original features were preserved, amongst them the oven from the 1930s. We suggest you make homemade bread with olives, which will go so well with a glass of wine while watching the sunset.

Interior That Takes You to Another World
A good interior can give a feeling of home and belonging, making a guest feel more comfortable. Details create a balance, a warm atmosphere, a place where we can relax and enjoy. We like that about the Nera Etwa house; details that take us to other worlds, pieces that are like a small time machine and a teleporter in one. The owner, Sanja Britt Jusić, put much love and attention into this house. We will start with the main room, located in the attic, called the Spring Blossom Attic. The oriental atmosphere blends gently and beautifully with the atmosphere of old Paris. At the same time, the seductive lamps give this somewhat sinister place charm, serenity, and the feeling of being in a French noir film and you are the leading actor. Details such as a turquoise birdcage, a seashell jewelry box, an old sewing machine, and a beautiful bathtub make up a beautiful space you won't want to leave.
But we must leave because we have to take you to another room, the Little hay room. An airy room with details such as original wooden beams, a straw chandelier, and lamps brought from Morocco, with turquoise details that give a unique feeling. And a detail we cannot ignore is the original door of this stone beauty that now adorns the head of the bed. The next and last room is the Marrakech room. Inspired by India and Morocco, this large double room is located on the ground floor. It is enriched with details that the owner collected and brought to this space, turning it into a fantastic oasis that will take you to the far corners of the world. Two large trays from Morocco form a comfortable and luxurious bed headboard. There is also no shortage of details in the bathroom; believe us, you will feel like you are in a spa center. In the end, we left the kitchen, which we still like to call the heart of every house. Stone walls, wooden beams, and details such as a green refrigerator and a beautiful table give a sense of community as it used to be when people gathered in this house and baked bread and brandy.
Nera Etwa is genuinely a tiny paradise in a big world. You can visit a paradise whenever you want; book your stay at the link. You can thank us later.
